Rephotography

I came up with this idea while watching America's Next Top Model on the plane. Cynthia Rowley was a guest and this just came to me because I once took a photo of her for Jane Magazine. I actually made a living taking photos for Jane Magazine. They paid well, so I would only work twice a month to get by. They credited me and held the rights to the photographs.

I've rephotographed the pages with my photos and printed them as part of a group of new sculptures called "Bathroom Pieces". This seemed somewhat interesting since Jane is no longer in production. Perhaps Conde Nast still holds the rights to my photos, but I'm not sure. I like the idea of appropriation art entering into the bathroom.
