Most biopics end poorly, in death and tragedy.
Why not make one that focuses on something different about the artist's life?
Like a redesign of something corporate; a website, store, company...
Redesign the public image of an historic artist.
Let's say Eric Stoltz plays Vincent Van Gogh. In this biopic, Vincent attempts to flirt with a woman on the beach and wins her affection with his unorthodox charm. She later introduces him to her fiancé and child, and the biopic unfolds like a Rohmer film. There's no acknowledgment of him cutting off the ear and living a lonely psychotic life.
